We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Test Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience, who can efficiently handle both Manual and Automation testing in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience or strong exposure to modern automation tools such as Playwright, along with a good understanding of performance testing concepts. The candidate is also expected to leverage AI-powered tools to enhance overall test quality.
Skills & Qualification
5 – 8 years of total experience in Software Testing
Strong experience working in Agile methodologies
Solid understanding of Manual Testing concepts and test lifecycle.
Hands-on experience or strong exposure to Automation Testing, preferably using Playwright or Selenium.
Good knowledge of JavaScript/ TypeScript (preferred for Playwright).
Experience in API testing and basic database validation, using tools like REST Assured, Postman, and SQL.
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or other bug management systems is preferred.
Exposure to Performance Testing tools and concepts (hands-on experience preferred).
Familiarity with CI/ CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, Jenkins, etc.).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to have
Experience with cloud-based testing environments
Knowledge of security testing basics
Role & Responsibility
Participate actively in project ceremonies including daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
Analyse requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
Follow and execute all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
Perform end-to-end manual testing including functional, regression and integration testing
Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using modern tools such as Playwright
Collaborate closely with developers and product owners to ensure high-quality deliveries
Perform or support performance testing (load, stress, scalability) using tools like JMeter or similar (experience or exposure preferred)
