We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Developer with expertise in .NET Core to join our engineering team. This role involves designing, building, and deploying secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
The ideal candidate must have 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure services, microservices architecture, containerization, and DevOps practices. You will collaborate with architects, product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps specialists to deliver end-to-end enterprise-grade solutions. This is a client-facing role that demands not only strong technical expertise but also excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. You will play a key part in driving innovation, improving cloud adoption, and ensuring projects are delivered with quality, efficiency, and security in mind.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Development & Architecture
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications using .NET Core and Azure services.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices to support scalable and distributed architectures.
- Architect and implement event-driven, serverless, and message-based systems leveraging Azure Service Bus, Event Hub, and Event Grid
- Build containerized applications with Docker and deploy/manage them on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Azure Services & Integrations
- Implement Azure PaaS services including Functions, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, Cosmos DB, and Logic Apps.
- Configure Azure API Management (APIM) for API publishing, security policies, throttling, and analytics.
- Integrate external systems using APIs, webhooks, and middleware.
- Work with Azure Active Directory (AAD) for secure authentication, single sign-on (SSO), and role-based access control (RBAC)
DevOps & Automation
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (builds, releases, YAML pipelines).
- Manage code repositories (Git), branching strategies, and version control best practices.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Ensure deployments are repeatable, reliable, and rollback-capable.
Security & Compliance
- Apply Azure security best practices including encryption, secrets management (Azure Key Vault), and secure networking.
- Configure and manage API Gateway and Web Application Firewall (WAF) for application security and traffic management.
- Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability mitigation in applications and services.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, or other regulatory frameworks (depending on client requirements).
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of professional experience in .NET Core development and Azure solutions.
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP .NET Core, LINQ, Entity Framework Core, and REST API development.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services: App Services, Functions, Storage (Blob/Queue/Table), Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, and Event Hub.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps: CI/ CD pipelines, Git workflows, automated deployments.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS) for containerized applications.
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, APIM, and WAF.
- Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) including AAD, Managed Identities, RBAC.
- Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and diagnostics tools in Azure.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile/ Scrum teams and collaborate across functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305), or DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, CQRS, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Experience with testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest) and API testing tools (Postman, Swagger).
- Prior exposure to cost management, scaling strategies, and FinOps practices.
- Experience working in client-facing projects with global teams.
