We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing complex payment processing applications, transaction flows, and backend systems. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and system architects to ensure high software quality, security, and performance.
The ideal candidate has strong domain expertise in Payment Gateways/ Fintech, proficiency in API testing, solid hands-on experience with SQL for database validation, and comfortable working within Linux/ Unix environments.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent with 3 to 6+ years of experience in manual software testing.
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in Payment Gateways, Merchant Onboarding, E-Commerce Checkout, or Fintech applications. Strong command over testing REST APIs, JSON/ XML payloads, authentication mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, API Keys, Bearer Tokens), and API mock testing
Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server) and writing complex SQL queries. Comfortable with basic-to-intermediate Linux/Unix commands for log analysis, file manipulation, and navigation. Deep understanding of STLC, SDLC, test case design techniques, exploratory testing, and bug lifecycle management.
