Candidate should have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 3 to 7 years of experience in manual software testing. Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Practical knowledge of manual testing techniques, test case design, and defect life cycle management.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking and test-management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
- Understanding of client-server architecture, APIs, and request/response validation.
- Exposure to Agile/ Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to document testing activities with precision and clarity.

- Basic Python scripting for test-data preparation and log parsing.
- Knowledge of MongoDB (document structure, CRUD operations).
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Basic understanding of automation testing concepts.
- Experience with industrial applications, inventory management systems, or material-tracking systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Review software requirements, functional specifications, and business workflows to understand expected system behavior.
- Prepare detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data aligned with defined requirements.
- Execute manual testing to verify application functionality, usability, and compliance with business requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Conduct detailed log analysis to identify root causes of issues and validate system behavior.
- Identify, document, track, and retest software defects with clear reproduction steps and expected vs. actual results.
- Validate database impacts and data integrity using SQL queries.
- Prepare and maintain test execution reports, defect logs, test evidence, and test summary documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
