As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, build, and support high-performance backend solutions for a complex trading platform environment. You will work closely with product, business, quality engineering, and operations teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable applications that support critical business functions. Success in this role requires strong software engineering expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Typically requires 6 to 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience designing and developing enterprise software applications using C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and .NET 8+.
  • Strong knowledge of ASP .NET, Web API development, and REST-based integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or similar database technologies.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and modern software design principles.
  • Experience with Git-based source control and collaborative development practices.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to create technical documentation, solution designs, and implementation plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Nice to have skills/ Knowledge

  • Exposure to Java or Perl development environments.
  • Experience supporting trading platforms, financial technology applications, or transaction-processing systems.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and working across concurrent initiatives.
  • Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and team support.
  • Ability to resolve production issues with urgency and a strong customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and support enterprise-grade software applications and services.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
  • Develop high-quality backend applications using C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and .NET 8+.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, solution design discussions, and application modernization initiatives.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, availability, and reliability across distributed systems.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications, design documentation, and implementation artifacts.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive timely resolutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and mentor less experienced developers.
  • Lead small to medium-sized development initiatives and coordinate technical deliverables.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and support continuous improvement across development teams.
