We are hiring a Senior QA/ Test Automation Engineer to support a safety‑critical railway program. You will design tests from SRS/ specs, build and evolve a Python automation framework, execute functional/integration/regression testing, and produce audit‑ready verification evidence aligned with EN 50128 / SIL4 practices.
Mandatory Skills
- 2 to 4 years in Software QA / Testing
- Strong test design from SRS /requirements (positive/ negative, boundary, state-based, interface scenarios)
- Hands-on Python for test automation with good debugging skills
- Experience in integration and regression testing in complex systems
- Strong understanding of RTM, coverage, and evidence-based reporting
- Working knowledge of Linux (logs, processes, networking basics)
- Experience with test reporting + defect management tools (e.g., JIRA/ ALM/ etc.)
Good to have
- Railway/ transportation domain exposure (signaling, train protection, telecom, control center integrations)
- EN 50128 / SIL4 awareness: verification activities, documentation discipline, traceability, review records
- Experience with DOORS / Polarion (or similar requirements tools)
- Knowledge of tool validation / qualification concepts used in safety projects
- BDD exposure (Gherkin/ Behave/ Pytest-bdd) and structured test reporting (Allure/ HTML, etc.)
- Familiarity with interface protocols and log-based validation in distributed systems
- Experienced in testing of Railway subsystem/applications like:
- NMS (Network Management System)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, review, and maintain test cases/ procedures from SRS, system and interface specifications
- Build/ maintain Python-based automation framework (scalable, reusable, maintainable)
- Execute functional, system, integration, and regression test suites (manual + automated)
- Interface-level validation:
- Validate end-to-end message flows, state transitions, and handshakes across subsystems
- Verify communication robustness: error handling, retries, timeouts, fallbacks/ fail-safe behavior
- Analyze logs/telemetry (radio + application + OS) and correlate events across nodes
- Support integration test setups using simulators/ stubs when real HW isn’t available
- Maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) and coverage reporting
- Produce test execution evidence: reports, logs, screenshots/attachments, coverage metrics for audits
- Perform defect lifecycle management: logging, triage, root cause support, verification & closure
- Work in Agile/ Scrum with strong ownership of commitments (plan vs actual)
