We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Manual Tester with 2 to 3 year of experience having a basic understanding of software testing concepts and be eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Must Have Skills
- Should be very strong in Manual testing skills with any certification related to manual testing.
- Should have hands-on experience in testing web-based solutions.
- Should be flexible in terms of working hours with our international clients.
- Should have experience in Agile, understand how QA is done in a Sprint/Iteration.
- Should have decent Communication.
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA lifecycle.
- Strong stakeholder communication, risk management, and client engagement skills.
- Proven ability to ensure end-to-end delivery with high customer satisfaction.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for simple data validation.
Good to Have Skills
- Exposure to test management or defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
- Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS basics)
- Knowledge of API basics or backend testing concepts
- Awareness of Agile/ Scrum methodology
- Any certification in Software Testing/ QA
Roles Responsibilities
Understanding Requirements
- Participate in meetings to clarify functional and non-functional requirements and raise questions or inconsistencies.
- Be a part of test scenarios, spring planning and manual testing of the application.
Test Execution
- Create test data needed for test execution.
- Update and maintain existing test cases when features change.
- Execute manual test cases for web, mobile, or desktop applications.
- Identify, document, and retest bugs using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Perform various types of testing: Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, UI, and Usability Testing.
Bug Reporting
- Log defects clearly with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and other relevant information.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and provide additional information as needed.
Documentation
- Maintain test artifacts such as test cases, test data, bug reports, and daily status updates.
- Document test results and provide reports to QA leads or managers.
Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members.
- Attend daily stand-ups or scrum meetings (if in an Agile team).
- Continuous Learning.
- Learn about new tools, technologies, and best practices in testing.
- Improve domain knowledge and testing skills under guidance from seniors.
