We are seeking an experienced Manual Tester to join our dynamic QA team. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience in manual testing, with a strong ability to design test cases, execute test scenarios, and ensure the quality of software products. This position is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality assurance, and a desire to contribute to the success of high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Case Design and Execution: Create and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements.
- Bug Reporting and Tracking: Identify, log, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, etc.). Collaborate with the development team to ensure defects are resolved in a timely manner.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing on new builds and releases to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
- Functional Testing: Conduct functional testing to verify that software products meet specified requirements and user expectations.
- Test Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation related to test cases, test execution results, and defect reports.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ad-hoc Testing: Perform exploratory testing to uncover issues that may not be easily identified through scripted tests.
- Test Environment Setup: Prepare and configure test environments and data for various test cycles.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to improving QA processes, test methodologies, and tools used by the team.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5 – 7 years of manual testing experience in a software development environment.
- Testing Techniques: Strong knowledge of different testing techniques (functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, etc.).
- Bug Tracking: Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Test Case Design: Ability to design detailed and comprehensive test cases based on functional specifications and business requirements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating clear test documentation and interacting with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the postman, XML, JSON, Figma, etc.
- Basic SQL Knowledge: Ability to write basic SQL queries to validate database content.
- Test Management Tools: Experience with test management tools such as Quality Center, TestRail, or similar is a plus.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Automation Testing: Exposure to test automation frameworks/tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, LoadRunner) is a plus but not mandatory.
