As a Manual Testing Engineer, you will contribute to the success of the system Test department by delivering high quality, cost effective, product validation testing per the project schedule and requirements. You will formulate integration plans/ test plans and approaches to meet agreed project milestones and targets along with developing innovative test systems and techniques that validate devices and systems under test. You will also ensure individual compliance with standard processes, procedures, practices, and safety requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated tests while integrating various modules into the Product framework.
- Debug and fix minor issues while integration is a must skill.
- Research, design, build, and implement manual test systems to assist in validation of products.
- Ensure that technical issues found during test execution are reported to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Utilize various test types and methodologies to drive test planning and execution. Be adaptive to any change involving test processes or tools. Identify methods and solutions for continuously improving test environments and execution.
- Follow risk-based testing strategies by prioritizing test coverage based on high-risk areas. Coordinate and achieve agreement with test leads, development, product managers, and cross functional teams regarding the risk-based strategy approach for all releases.
- Analyze resources and skills necessary to meet the business needs for each assigned project. Evaluate any equipment, training, or other needs for assigned projects and submit procurement requests to appropriate personnel.
- Provide regular updates to technical leads, management, and stakeholders regarding test execution progress. Provide test results to product managers and other project team members that will be used in making decisions regarding the readiness of the project.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelors Degree preferred in an engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
- Experience with developing and executing manual tests for user interfaces.
- Experience with testing embedded and industrial controllers or equivalent systems preferred.
- Experience with at least one of the following Object-Oriented programming languages C#, C++. Typescript(preferred)
- Experience with the Agile development process.
- Experience working closely with multi-functional teams (production, production test, customer support, supply chain).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation.
- Familiarity with Flow Computers and Gas Chromatographs a plus.
