SoundHound is looking for a Manual QA Tester with strong experience in Intelligent Voice Assistants (IVA) and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems. This role focuses on validating voice-driven conversational experiences, with an emphasis on Spanish-language accuracy, call flows, and system integrations.
Required Skills
5+ year of hands-on experience in QA/ Manual Testing
Hands-on experience with IVA and IVR platforms
Fluent Spanish speaker (spoken and written) must be able to test conversational accuracy
Experience working with automation frameworks created by others (e.g., executing, maintaining, or validating automated tests)
Solid understanding of QA processes, SDLC, and STLC
Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr)
Ability to analyze voice logs, transcripts, and system responses.
Nice to Have
Exposure to telephony systems (SIP, PSTN, VoIP)
Basic understanding of automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, custom voice test frameworks)
Experience testing multilingual or conversational AI systems
Prior experience in Agile/ Scrum environments
Key Responsibilities
Perform manual testing of IVA/ IVR applications across telephony and voice platforms
Validate Spanish-language conversations, including prompts, intents, utterances, and error handling
Test end-to-end call flows, DTMF, speech recognition (ASR), and NLU behavior
Execute test cases for functional, regression, smoke, and UAT testing
Work with and execute test suites from automation frameworks developed by other team members
Analyze logs, call traces, and test results to identify root causes
Report, track, and verify defects using bug-tracking tools
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and automation engineers to ensure quality delivery
Contribute to test documentation, test plans, and test case creation
