We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 4 to 6 years of strong experience in Java-based test automation, UI automation using Selenium, and API automation using REST Assured. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java
- Automate UI test cases using Selenium WebDriver
- Develop and execute API automation tests using REST Assured
- Validate RESTful APIs using different HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE)
- Integrate automation suites with CI/ CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable automation code following best practices
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide testability feedback
- Maintain test documentation and automation reports
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in Java programming
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Solid knowledge of REST Assured for API testing
- Understanding of OOP concepts, collections, and exception handling in Java
- Experience with TestNG / JUnit frameworks
- Familiarity with Maven/ Gradle build tools
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Knowledge of HTTP protocols, JSON, XML, and API schemas
- Experience working in Agile/ Scrum environments
Good to have
- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber)
- Knowledge of Postman or Swagger
- Basic understanding of SQL and database testing
- Experience with Docker or cloud-based testing
- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling)
