  Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. is looking for Software Testing Engineer (SDET)



Job Description

Candidate should have Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience in software testing methodologies and Agile-based delivery. Background with expertise in test automation using Python, SQL, and Public Cloud technologies. Should have experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Pytest, Selenium, JUnit)

Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Deep understanding of software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
Keen interest in testing trends and their implications for software quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Strategy and Automation:

Implement comprehensive test strategies for the full software development lifecycle.
Maintain automated test suites using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
Agile methodologies, participating in and leading QA-related ceremonies as required.
Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and practices.

Quality Assurance:

High-quality outcomes through thorough testing of functional and non-functional requirements.
Various types of testing including unit, integration, system, and performance testing.

Defect Management and Reporting:

Document, and track software defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Detailed, actionable feedback to development teams to facilitate quick resolution of issues.
Generate and maintain test reports and documentation.

Support and Improvement:

Serve as a technical point of contact for QA-related matters, providing support and
Assistance in troubleshooting issues in platform operation, including occasional out-of- hours support.
Improve testing operations by proactively predicting and addressing potential quality issues.

Impact:

Ensure the delivery of high-quality technology to support the STOXX index business.
Facilitating the development of reliable new index products and services in a cost-efficient and timely manner.
