QA Engineer (Manual Testing)   




  Velocitai Digital Private Limited is looking for QA Engineer (Manual Testing)



Job Description

We are seeking a Manual Tester to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of software development and testing processes. This role will require the tester to create and execute detailed test cases, identify issues, and collaborate with the development team to ensure the software is bug-free and meets end-user requirements.

Candidate should have Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with proven experience in manual software testing, ideally in an Agile environment. Experience with writing detailed test cases and test scripts. Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.)

Technical Skills-

Strong understanding of software development processes and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Familiarity with testing methodologies (e.g., Black Box Testing, Regression Testing, User Acceptance Testing).
Ability to analyze complex systems and perform detailed testing.

Soft Skills-

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities-

Test Planning & Preparation-

Understand and analyze project requirements and user stories.
Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on the product specifications.
Define test objectives and determine test conditions.

Test Execution-

Execute manual test cases for various types of testing, such as functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance, and compatibility testing.
Perform exploratory testing to identify areas of the application that may not be covered by test cases.
Simulate real-world scenarios to verify software functionality.

Defect Identification and Reporting-

Identify, document, and report defects or issues in the application using a bug-tracking tool (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Provide clear and detailed descriptions of issues for developers to reproduce and resolve.
Verify that reported defects have been fixed by developers and retest the affected areas.
