  Woolsocks | Innovative FinTech Solutions is looking for QA Engineer - Manual Testing



Job Description

We are looking for a 3+ years experienced QA Engineer who will be responsible for Software Testing and Performance Testing predominantly with mobile application(s) and in a highly decoupled cloud-based micro services mesh.

What You Will Be Doing

Participate in all phases of QA testing including: System (functional and non-functional), Integration, Regression, Smoke, Exploratory, Performance, Data verification and Acceptance testing;

Continuously streamline and improve the testing life cycle to ensure test planning, execution, and reporting are effective and coordinated;
Analyze testing results to enhance future test plans and scenarios. (Including metrics and benchmarks to gauge improvement);
Automate basic repetitive scenarios;
Work with an Agile cross-functional team;
Continuous learning and researching for identifying shortcomings and opportunities for test strategies;

UI Application Testing;

Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases for user interface applications;
Identify and document UI defects, ensuring alignment with user experience standards;
Collaborate with developers to ensure UI components meet functional requirements;

Backend REST API Testing;

Test RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms;
Verify API responses, data integrity, and error handling;
Perform end-to-end testing to validate API and UI integration;
Write and execute SQL queries to validate backend data.

What Will Help You Succeed?

Being an expert in:

Software quality (SQA) methodologies and practices; All the phases of QA testing: System (functional and non-functional), Integration, Regression, Smoke, Exploratory, Performance, Data verification and Acceptance testing; Attention to detail and a proactive approach to QA.

Being experienced in:

Testing, defect reproducing and tracing in a Distributed Environment;
Testing Strategies in a Microservice Architecture;
GDPR best-practices for testing;
Continuous integration concepts;
Familiarity with task/defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira);
Backend (APIs, Databases) and UI testing and automation;

Security fundamentals; authentication, authorization, cryptography;
Event-driven architecture and technologies;
Automated CI/CD solutions (e.g. Jenkins);
Cloud technologies (preferably GCP);
Containerization and container orchestration technologies (preferably K8s)
