  HOERBIGER India Private Limited is looking for Junior QA Testing Engineer



Job Description

The Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Associate will play an integral role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions for HOERBIGER customers. The position involves assisting in the testing of software applications, following established QA best practices, and learning automation testing techniques over time. Working under the guidance of senior team members, the Junior QA Associate will help maintain the quality of engineering software and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes.

Role & Responsibilities-

Assist in the creation and maintenance of test cases and test data.
Support the preparation and execution of test plans during release cycles.
Conduct manual testing for Windows-based and web-based applications.
Log defects, track them through retesting, and ensure timely closure.
Collaborate with team members to understand testing methodologies and processes.
Provide status updates to supervisors and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Participate in test script development under the guidance of senior team members.
Assist in identifying risks related to project execution and communicate them effectively.
Contribute to the documentation of QA processes and maintain reports for internal use.
Learn and apply new testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Support team members in routine QA tasks and assist as required.
Share knowledge and information with peers to ensure team growth and improvement.

Preferred Candidate profile-

Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance.
Educational Background: Bachelor`s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Candidates with BE, MSc, or MCA are preferred. ISTQB certification is an advantage.
Basic understanding of functional and non-functional testing requirements for web and mobile applications.
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and testing principles.
Knowledge of manual testing practices and the ability to document test cases effectively.
Exposure to automation tools in a real-world setting.
Basic hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and develop expertise in automation testing tools and frameworks.
Positive attitude towards learning and professional growth.
Dependable with a good attendance record and strong work ethic.
