Job Description

We are seeking a Manual Test Engineer to join the Abbott_EP_Verification project. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software testing, with particular expertise in manual testing and defect tracking. The role requires a proactive approach to test execution, analysis, and ensuring the quality of medical device software verification.

Key Responsibilities:

Test and Analytical Skills: Conduct detailed manual testing, focusing on functionality, performance, and reliability, while analyzing test results to ensure product quality.
Requirements Analysis & Traceability: Analyze and trace requirements through verification tests to ensure proper alignment and coverage.
Test Processes & Management Tools: Apply a solid understanding of test processes, methodologies, and various test management tools (e.g., Jira, Test Campaigns).
Linux OS: Hands-on experience with Linux OS, performing test execution and troubleshooting within a Linux environment.
Issue Identification & Reporting: Effectively use defect tracking tools, particularly Jira, to identify, report, and track defects throughout the testing process.
Medical Device Software Verification (Preferred): Prior experience in the verification of medical device software is highly desirable.

Skills Required:

Manual Testing: Strong proficiency in manual testing across various applications and environments.
Functional Testing: Experience in validating system functionality against business requirements.
Defect Tracking (JIRA): Hands-on experience with JIRA for tracking and reporting defects.
Test Execution: Proven experience in executing detailed test cases and reporting test results.
Linux OS: Solid understanding of Linux operating systems, with hands-on experience in a testing environment.
Test Management Tools: Familiarity with various test management tools for planning, executing, and reporting test activities.
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify potential issues and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Familiarity with the unique requirements and challenges in medical device software testing is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Agile: Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools used for agile project management.
Test Campaigns: Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing test campaigns across complex software systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in manual testing, with a strong focus on functional and acceptance testing.
Hands-on experience with JIRA, Linux OS, and test execution in an agile environment.
Experience in the medical device or healthcare software domain is a significant advantage.
