  Times Internet Limited (The Times Group) is looking for Manual Testing Engineer



Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team, responsible for ensuring the quality of our news website and mobile application. As a Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in identifying defects and ensuring that our platform delivers a seamless user experience.

Minimum Requirements:

- 3-4 years of experience in manual testing
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to identify defects
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with test management tools like TestRail, JIRA, etc.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Nice to Have:

- Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium, Appium, etc.
- Knowledge of Agile testing methodologies
- Certification in software testing
- Experience with news platforms or content management systems (CMS)

Key Responsibilities:

- Test news website and mobile application manually to identify defects, bugs, and inconsistencies
- Create and execute test cases based on user stories and requirements
- Verify fixes and re-test to ensure defects are resolved
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve defects
- Test for functionality, usability, compatibility, and performance
- Identify and report defects in a timely and efficient manner
- Participate in test planning and test case review sessions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and testing methodologies

Specific Requirements for Business:

- Test news article publishing, editing, and deletion workflows
- Verify news article formatting, images, and videos display correctly
- Test search functionality, filtering, and categorization
- Ensure compatibility with different browsers, devices, and operating systems
- Test user registration, login, and subscription workflows
- Verify social media sharing functionality
