  Morgan Stanley - Investment Banking is looking for Senior Java Developer



Job Description

Candidate should have a Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other STEM fields with 3 to 7 years of professional development experience, preferably worked in an environment that focuses on distributing data via Microservices or APIs. Demonstrable experience in Core Java (1.8 and above), including Spring and Spring Boot framework. Good understanding of Collections, Generics, Concurrency & Serialization.

Should have good knowledge of SQL and Java database connectivity.
Experience with any relational databases, especially DB2 and Snowflake.
Strong knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture/ RESTful services
Must have strong knowledge of Python.
Knowledge of build tools like Maven/ Ant/ Gradle.
Experience working in UNIX/ Linux environments.
Strong communication skills.
Strong ability to clearly document user requirements in Jira epics and stories and to translate those requirements into technical designs.

Good to have skills-

Experience working in the financial services industry and knowledge of the investment management business.
Implementation experience in cloud-based platforms will be a plus.
A strong mathematical background or understanding of financial quantitative calculations, ideally in calculating portfolio analytics (performance, attribution, and risk)

Roles & Responsibilities-

GRA Technology is looking for a Developer for its Bengaluru, India, office. The daily tasks include:
Build and maintain scalable Restful services with Spring Boot framework, Python ETL and data quality rules based on requirements provided by the business.
Maintain the schema and content of our operational data stores and data warehouse, on DB2 and Snowflake databases.
Respond to support queries and system or data alerts.
Work closely with business users, external vendors, Morgan Stanley`s central IT teams, and other MSIM IT teams globally.
Support and enhance the MSIM GRA Risk Dashboard, responsible for backend services for enterprise exposures, positional data, performances, performance attributions, risk decompositions, security, and account reference data.
Participate in SDLC lifecycle from requirements to development, deployment, and support.
