  Sourcedesk Global Private Limited is looking for Software Testing Engineer



Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced QA Tester with strong expertise in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our software products by executing detailed test plans and developing automated test scripts. You will work closely with the development team to identify, report, and resolve issues, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Qualification/ Experience-

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a QA Tester with both manual and automation testing skills.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
Proficiency in using automated testing tools such as Selenium, QTP, or similar.
Experience with bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail, etc.
Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications-

Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI.
Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools such as Jenkins.
Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter.
Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.

Role & Responsibilities-

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Design, create, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, QTP, or similar.
Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Collaborate with the development and product teams to understand requirements and specifications.

Conduct thorough exploratory testing to uncover unforeseen issues.
Review and analyze system specifications and requirements.
Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups as part of the Agile development process.
Report and document test results, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in software testing.
