  BMC Software is looking for ETL/BI Developer



Job Description

Special Duties/Job Function:Primary responsibilities will include development, maintenance and support of Corporate ETL function in support of BMC s data warehouse and reporting environment. Help provide 24X7 support for the ETL and warehouse building environment. Responsible for monitoring extract scripts for successful completion and performing auditing function to ensure successful data extracts. Participation in all phases of the development lifecycle. Research impacts of technology changes on existing and planned systems; and provide technical and end user documentation. Analyze impact of changes in business practice on existing systems and formulate plan for improving automated support for the business. Interact with U.S.-based business clients and other IS staff to understand requirements.

Desired Skills: Informatica v6.x Business Object Xi Oracle 9i Database PL SQL Windows 2000 HP-UNIX Erwin or similar CASE tools

Special Qualifications:
Functional and technical expertise (3+ years) in Informatica or comparable ETL application. Candidate should have expertise of PL/SQL, Visual Basic, and UNIX, with working knowledge of Java and ASP preferred. At least two years experience working in a data modeling or data warehousing environment REQUIRED.

Experience working with one of the following reporting applications a plus: Business Objects, Hyperion Essbase, Siebel Sales Force Automation, Oracle Financials, Oracle HR. Strong English language skills a must. Must be able to function in a team environment with good communication skills.
