Job Description
Company Background: performs analysis of investment opportunities for hedge funds. These projects typically involve so-called "channel checks" by telephone, sophisticated financial modeling, or ideally a combination of both. The Company projects usually concern companies with little analyst coverage, emerging technologies, or rapidly changing industries - opportunities where thorough research can pay off handsomely. As research generalists, The Company covers companies in a wide variety of industries and usually delivers results within 3-5 days. To support its Boston analysts, the Company employs a team of financial modelers and researchers at in Pune. These researchers collect data from financial filings, search for relevant industry data, resolve and reconcile financial statements - basically prepare the basic model for the financial analysts in Boston.
Role: Team/Process Manager The Team Manager will be located in India and serve as the Company`s "point person" in Pune. He/She will conduct project kick-off meetings remotely with the Company analysts, help define the work to be performed in India, supervise the quality of that work, and provide regular updates. Of particular importance is that the peroson be able to understand the nature, process, and goals of the support work and keep projects on track as questions and problems arise. Finally, the person will be responsible for the quality of support received by the the Company analysts.
Qualifications: MBA (either in Finance or HR) Past work experience: Has to have 2-5 years of managing a team of size 15+. Salary: No bar
